Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Prep Cook/Second Cook to join our culinary team at a prestigious fly fishing resort in Smithers, BC. This role is crucial in maintaining the high culinary standards and exceptional dining experience to serve our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients and assist with food preparation under the guidance of the Head Chef and senior kitchen staff.
- Execute assigned tasks efficiently and in accordance with recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work stations, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Assist in the coordination of food orders and deliveries.
- Contribute to the development and presentation of menu items & menu execution.
- Adhere to proper food handling techniques and kitchen safety protocols.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role, particularly in a fine dining or upscale kitchen environment.
- Knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation methods.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn and grow within the role.
- Food Safe certification or willingness to obtain.
- Ability to commute to V0J 2N6.

In the fall we are a world class fishing destination with celebrity notoriety. We take between 12-25 guests a week for Sept and Oct. We provide excellent service to our many returning guests.
